The Collierville Police Department, in cooperation with the local community and Google Translate, worked to develop tips in Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese to help educate the Asian community on how to prevent being a victim of a robbery.

On July 27, 2014 the Collierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen recognized Lieutenant Norm Dixon with his 25 year service pin.

The Collierville Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will be providing the community with another opportunity to rid their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. On September 27th, from 10:00am until 2:00pm, please bring your medications for disposal to the Collierville Police Department at 156 North Rowlett. The service is free and anonymous, with no questions asked. The DEA cannot accept liquids, needles or sharps; only pills and patches are acceptable.

Collierville Police Offer Safety Tips in Light of Recent Robbery

The Collierville Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred on Friday night (June 27) in Collierville. A victim was robbed in their driveway and shots were fired. Collierville Police are following leads and are focused on finding the individual/individuals involved in the robbery. "I am not convinced that this robbery was a random act," said Town Administrator James Lewellen. "I believe that the victim was targeted at their place of business and followed to their home in Collierville where the robbery occurred. This type of crime will not be tolerated in Collierville and I want to assure the citizens that we will not allow violent crime to take a foothold in our community."
