Collierville Police Department Assistant Chief David Tillner said "We continually urge people to heed warnings, place purchases out of sight, and to be sure and lock your vehicle doors. The Town of Collierville is partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Tennessee District to conduct the 10th National Prescription drug “Take-Back” program Saturday, September 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Collierville Police will be collecting expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs at CPD Headquarters, 156 N. Rowlett in Collierville.  Only pills or patches will be collected. Liquids, needles and sharps will not be accepted.

Collierville Police Offer Home Solicitation Safety Tips

Door to door solicitors come in many shapes and sizes. These solicitors can offer deals on magazines, energy audits, opportunities to sign petitions, cookies, and much more. The solicitation ordinance, effective October 9, 2015, allows commercial solicitors to conduct door-to-door sales after obtaining a permit from the Town. Solicitors are also required to wear a Town-issued identification badge while working; as a resident you have the right to ask to see an ID badge if it is not clearly displayed. Non-commercial solicitors such as church groups, scouts or charitable organizations do not need a permit or identification badges.
