Lt. Norm Dixon Recoginized for 25 Years of Service with the Town

On July 27, 2014 the Collierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen recognized Lieutenant Norm Dixon with his 25 year service pin.

 

An area resident since 1965, Lt. Dixon graduated Magna cum Laude from Memphis State University (U of M) and began a career in retail management.  He joined Collierville Police Department in 1989 as a commissioned Officer and his ongoing career with Collierville, included time in the Uniform Patrol Division as a field training officer distinguished by his high level of DUI Enforcement. 

 

Following his 2000 promotion to the rank of Lieutenant, he worked in the Special Operations Division.  Lt. Dixon is now serving as Field Commander on evening and midnight shifts in the Uniform Patrol Division.

 

After being congratulated by each member of the BMA, Lt. Dixon commented, "It has been a real honor to serve this community for 25 years."
