On February 22, 2013, Steve completed the Field Training Officer certification class and started passing his knowledge, skills, and work ethic on to newly hired Officers.Officer Steve Borders continues to set the bar as a Traffic Officer. During the month of December, 2013, Officer Borders was awarded the Officer of the Month award for working 24 crashes, issuing 42 tickets, and making seven self-initiated arrests. The month of December culminated in an outstanding year of performance which showed Officer Borders to have worked 242 crashes, issued 579 citations, and made 97 arrests.
