ACCREDITATION ASSESSMENT TEAM INVITES PUBLIC COMMENT
A team of assessors from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), will arrive December 1st to examine all aspects of the Collierville Police Department’s policy and procedures, management, operations, and support services through December 4th, Chief Larry Goodwin announced today. Recently, CPD has been fielding calls regarding complaints of people receiving calls where they are being told that they either are about to be arrested on warrants from a Federal Agency (IRS etc...) or that they were sent a subpoena to come to court and that they were in violation because they did not show up. Special Notice about Parking during the 'Collierville Christmas Parade'
The Town of Collierville wanted residents to have early notice regarding a change in parking for the annual Christmas Parade, set for Friday, December 5 starting at 7pm. Read more.
CPD Promotes Holiday Shopping Tips
Be sure and take the necessary precautions to stay safe and keep purchases and personal items secure during the Holiday shopping season. Collierville Police Department Assistant Chief David Tillner said "We continually urge people to heed warnings, place purchases out of sight, and to be sure and lock your vehicle doors. During the Holidays, this becomes even more important. We encourage everyone to be alert and use common sense. The Department wants this to be another happy and safe holiday season."
